MSB is confident that our new and expanded division and personal will satisfy any needs you may have for your vessel’s survey. SAMS® is an International Society Dedicated to the Advancement of the Profession of Marine Surveying. SAMS® is intended to be an organization of Professional Marine Surveyors who have come together to promote the good image and general well being of their chosen profession. S.A.M.S. members are surveyors who have accumulated time in the profession, and have proven the technical skills necessary for membership in the organization. SAMS is also proud that it is of one of the three major Marine Surveyor’s Societies who’s survey reports are accepted by all American insurance companies (including Lloyds of London). This universal acceptance is largely due to SAMS continued high standards of membership along with its continued work alongside the insurance companies to develop a survey report format that is easy to read, yet satisfies the insurance companies strict requirements. ABYC Standards and Technical Information Reports for Small Craft
ABYC develops safety standards for the design, construction, equipage, maintenance, and repair of small craft and their systems. The development of uniform standards is the basis for industry-wide comparisons of products and performance. As a result of strong industry support, ABYC's standards program is a viable alternative to further development of mandatory government regulation of the marine industry. In lawsuits involving product liability, ABYC standards are a reliable and authoritative reference for evaluation issues of design, construction, maintenance, and product performance. Guidelines used to conduct ALL surveys and reports are, United States Coast Guard CFR 33 and 46, the National Fire Protection Association Standard (NFPA), the American Boat and Yacht Council Standards (ABYC). All onboard systems are inspected. BUC and NADA Value systems are used in the valuation of the vessel. You are guaranteed that the inspections and reports you receive will be completed to defined safety regulations, the best boat building practices available, and an ethical valuation process
