Throughout the testing program, a suitable positioning system must be in place to position the vessel in the specified location; install the anchors at the specified locations; and monitor movements of the vessel relative to the seabed (as an aid to determine when an anchor system is yielding/failing). A full and complete record and time log shall be kept of all test activities and observations. This log shall be submitted to the Contractor at the completion of work. Method of load application shall be via a line connected to the anchor leg, with a load applied to the line by a winch or similar device capable of holding the load at specified levels and lengths of time. When setting the anchor, it is desirable to have a 10 to 1 slope in the mooring line.
